If she has 60 minutes today, do these things in this order. If she has only 20 minutes, do step 1.

Open the manuscript at wherever you stopped last. Read aloud (yes, out loud) for 20 minutes. Mark anything that sounds like generic Christian-women’s-publishing. Underline. Don’t fix yet.
You’re listening for: - “precious sister” register - “Warmly,” sign-offs in chapter intros - Quick-fix language - Saccharine enthusiasm without specificity - Scripture quoted decoratively (no work being done)
If you mark zero things in 20 minutes, you’re not listening hard enough OR the chapter is finished. Move on.
Go back to what you marked. Strike (literally cross out · don’t replace yet). Trust that less is more. The voice that’s left is yours; the voice you’re cutting was filler.
Read the struck-through chapter again. Does it cohere without the cut
text? Usually yes. Sometimes you’ll notice a real gap where struck text
was load-bearing. Mark those gaps with [GAP] for
tomorrow.
Pick the most-marked paragraph. Rewrite it once, fast. Don’t try to make it perfect. The goal is to find the right register, not the right sentence.
Run the rewritten paragraph through the voice-keeper-sandi skill (or just check yourself): - ✅ No “Warmly,” - ✅ No “precious sister” / “beloved in the Lord” - ✅ No saccharine enthusiasm - ✅ Specific over generic - ✅ Faith woven functionally (not decoratively)
If pass: copy the rewrite into the manuscript. Done. If fail: make one more pass tomorrow.
Open _knowledge/PROJECT_STATUS_MASTER.md and update the
Kingdom Wife row’s “next concrete action” with whatever the next 60-min
sitting should be. That alone keeps the project alive.
Default: open 02_action_plan.md and
read the current week’s items. Do whichever has the lowest activation
energy.
If everything in the current week feels heavy: open
06_gap_analysis.md and pick from the LOW or MEDIUM gaps.
Sometimes a small win unlocks momentum on the heavy work.
If even that feels heavy: Sabbath. Productivity must not destroy sustainability. Tomorrow.
Pick one. Write it on a sticky note. Look at it once an hour while you work.
| Mood | Verse |
|---|---|
| Tired | Matthew 11:28 — “Come to me, all you who are weary” |
| Doubting your work | Romans 8:1 — “No condemnation” |
| Tempted to rush | Psalm 27:14 — “Wait for the Lord” |
| Tempted to quit | Galatians 6:9 — “Let us not become weary in doing good” |
When today’s 60 minutes are done, stop. Don’t push into 90 minutes “while you’re on a roll.” The roll comes from sustainability, not from sprints.
Tomorrow is here whether you push tonight or not.
